During the short but dramtic Alaskan summer, many Alaskans try to find their adventurous spirit through hiking and camping in and around the many Alaskan state parks. These brave and hardy souls fend off the hardships of the untaimed wilderness with a five minute walk to the nearest convenient store. Yes, yes, it is true that they must endore the buck fifty cost for a can of Coca-Cola, but as any who has visited Walt Disney World will tell you, "such are the hardships of Frontiersland". But far from the RV Parks and Luxery Hotels, 500 miles South West, to the mouth of the great Egegik River, on the shores of frigid Bristol Bay, lies a small fishing village that attracts the truely adventurous from around the world. |
